How to set size of QToolBar in QMainWindow?
I need to add QToolBar with the size to be exactly the same as the QMainWindow size.
The simplest way I found is this:
ui.centralwidget.addToolBar(QtGui.QToolBar(parent), QtCore.Qt.LeftToolBarArea, sizePolicy = QtCore.Qt.IgnoreSize)
ui.centralwidget.setLayout(QtCore.QVBoxLayout())
ui.centralwidget.layout().addWidget(ui.mainWidget)
but this is not what I’m looking for, because I lose the QMainWindow size. If I use sublayout = QtGui.QGridLayout(centralWidget) the size is the right one but then it is not possible to keep top and bottom buttons with other buttons on them.
Is there any other way, apart from setting up the layout manually in QMainWindow constructor?

You can implement your own widget with a layout and add it to the main window.
